Alternatives to GD Star Ratings?

Has anyone found a good alternative to the GD Star Ratings plug-in? I can make GD Star Ratings work by not adding any widgets to the front page with FCG, but I lose the ability to show the highest rated posts as well as the ratings in the excerpts for individual posts.

Are there any plans to try to resolve the conflict between FCG and GD Star Ratings? On one site, I had to choose between the two and kept FCG, but it would be very helpful if there was an alternative or a fix.
