I followed the instructions in the posts on resizing thumbnails and edited the code in the file featured-content-gallery/scripts/jd.gallery.js.php to make the thumbnail size 200 x 200. The properties of the images that display in fcg on my web are 170 x 90 (wide screen). This is not the dimension of the images I uploaded and as I do not have any thumbnails for the images in my wp media file I do not know what is compressing the images so that they are 170 x 90. The aspect ratio is off and the images look squashed. The images I included in my post are square (200 x 200 or 300 x 300). I have tried changing the FCG options to use a custom thumbnail, not use a custom thumbnail, etc. but nothing is working.

whatever gallery with
images you have on your site is not fcgsquashed
