CSS for Featured Content pull down

Is it possible to change the CSS / look of the pull down? Also, is it possible to eliminate the pull down but have the thumbnails or small boxes with numbers in it at the top right?


example of what i am looking to do:

go to www.ign.com and you will see their gallery slide. They have small thumbnails at the bottom that are always there. when clicked, it posts the bigger thumbnail.

Where would I look to edit this plugin like that?
