Does FCG install other files?

I used to use FCG on my site, but one day it just stopped working for no apparent reason. I loved it, so I tried deactivating the plugins i had recently installed/updated and it didn't do any good. It just showed the black border but only had the white space inside. No text or images or anything was happening. I tried deleting it, and reinstalling it but it does the same thing every time.

But then I noticed every time I delete it and reinstalled it, the preferences were the same. It remembered all the pages I wanted and everything. This leads me to believe that when I delete the plugin it still keeps some preference files somewhere. Could the problem be with these? Where are they?

If not, how can I fix this problem? I love FCG and it was a great feature to my site.
