FCG Alternative for the frustrated

PostBy pontarae on Mon Jul 13, 2009 12:30 pm

Having wasted two days attempting to make FCG function in my Studiopress template I quit and began searching in earnest for an alternative.

My search did turn up a very satisfactory, newly introduced substitute: WP-Cycle. Find it here: http://www.nathanrice.net/plugins/wp-cycle/

Installed and functional, including images uploaded, in less than 15 minutes. Very simple to use, minimal (really!) editing of code, no conflicts in WP 2.8

More limited in functionality than FCG but very suitable for image rotator/simple slideshows on your front page. It just works!

but fcg serving other needs than just image slide show...it is featured content gallery...
we have support here..there is no need struggle for 2 days on fcg..it is actually really simple after reading, watching the video(this step can be omitted, if everything fine with gallery, just extrastep ).. and if you are not succeded.. here is a forum forum for you...I am here almost everyday except weekend...

those quoted from your post are related to fcg too..

no conflicts in WP 2.8
