FCG error upon un-install

Hello,
I have been enjoying FCG for quite some time now, with the exception of the many conflicts it has with other plugins i am trying to use. I especially need the option to de activate FCG in order to operate some plugins but every time i deactivate the plugin I get an ERROR message on the homepage, and am unable to navigate my site at all. I am then forced to go back and re install the plugin via FTP, for the site to become fully functional again. I have tried to delete the call from the php template but am afraid I cannot find it. If there's any one that can help, would greatly appreciate it.
