FCG disappeared from my site, perhaps when I upgraded to WP 3.1:

FCG usually spans the two left columns at the top of the home page. I replaced the gallery call with
<?php global $post; include (ABSPATH . '/wp-content/plugins/featured-content-gallery/gallery.php'); ?>
but it didn't help. Custom fields appear to be enabled and the settings look just the same.
Any help you can give me is appreciated. Thanks.

check permissions for wp-content and fcg folders, should be 755

I changed the file permissions for wp-content, plugins, and featured-content-gallery to 755. Still not showing up, unfortunately.

I deleted the plug-in, reinstalled it and... it worked.
