FCG makes my blog run slow

I was able to successfully install the gallery with my Thesis theme at simplescrapper.com - however, the gallery causes my blog to load very slowly.

I reduced the file size on my images from ~100K to < 50K each, with many under 25K.

I tested whether FCG was for certain the cause and indeed it runs fast if disabled. One oddity, upon re-enabling, the speed continued, even as I clicked to pages that I knew were not cached by my browser. This did not last, however.

Any suggestions to improve performance?

I'm having the same issue. Pages are loading under 2 seconds without the plugin enabled. Once I enable it the load times can be between 5 - 10 seconds.
