FCG only showing blank box

Hi, I am using intrepidity theme 1.5.1 by Top Blog Formula which has FCG built in. I am tweaking on my Xampp server before uploading to hosting package. I am using Wordpress 3.0.1.

I am only showing a blank box, altering the border colour shows a correct outline so something appears to work. I have checked the following with no success.

1. Searched the forum for other users of Intrepedity theme - altered php short code text as suggested in one post.
2. Looked at View Page \Source and clinked on image links and they display ok.
3. Checked size of images to be same as gallery.
4. Tried Gallery options for both page and post without success.

I had the same problem... this solved it.

I found this out by querying xampp and WordPress plugin.
Xammp's php.ini file contains a value for phpshort_open_tag, and that is off by default, you have to turn it on for FCG to work.

c:/xampp/php/php.ini is the file path on my computer.

Having same problem, all settings correct in intrepidity theme that is designed to work with FCG. All plugins off, still white box.

What are some of the ideas? There is jqurey in the theme, but agian, how would I turn that off and when this theme is designed for it and many are using it with the FCG?
