FCG Script Causing Site Overload

PostBy CorruptCamel on Mon Aug 22, 2011 7:38 am

I've been enjoying FCG for a while with no issues, but with website traffic increasing recently, my site was suspended. When I inquired why I was told by my host:

Your account has been temporarily disable due to HIGH load from
/wp-content/plugins/featured-content-gallery/scripts/.

is there anyway to remedy this? I really like this plug-in, but without a solution, and my blog traffic increasing steadily, I might have to search for an alternative.

Thanks.

1. Check settings to exclude fcg-YOU conflict
2. Try to turn off all your plugins at once to exclude fcg-other plugin conflict
3. Try default theme to exclude fcg-theme conflict
4. Post in this forum to involve me in your troubleshooting. URL is required

I didn't post the URL because my site was suspended because of FCG. (www.corruptcamel.com)

My webhost has since reactivated my site with the understanding that I disable/delete the plugin. Unfortunately, I think I'll have to try an alternative feature plugin. I really enjoyed FCG for the 1.5 years I used it.

Thanks for your time.
