I auto-updated my WP site to v3.1.1 from home and tested it on FF3 and IE7 and everything looked fine. At work yesterday, I checked it with IE6 and noticed the following anomalous behavior on both my site AND yours (featuredcommentgallery [dot] com):
1) On a PC with a 1024x768 display with IE6 maximized, the text slider box started part way up from the bottom and finished up covering about 25% of the bottom of the arrow images.
2) I then checked it on a PC with a 1600x1200 display with IE6 both maximized and windowed, but much wider than 1024. The text slider still started from the same relative position up from the bottom of the gallery and finished in the same position over the arrow images. In addition, the gallery image (including the text slider) was shifted left significantly, pushing the left edge out well into the padded space of both my centered theme and yours. The background/border that my theme draws behind/around FCG (I use the StudioPress Chrome v2.0 theme) WAS still properly positioned.
NEITHER of these things happened with v3.1.0.
I will not have access to IE6 until Wednesday, March 4th, so I personally can't do any further testing until then.

You are correct, since 3.1.1 IE6 incorrectly renders the plugin. Anyone know how to roll back to 3.1.0? I know it's not as simple as copying over with the earlier version; since I already tried that.

Re: FCG v3.1.1 broken on IE6
I ran into the same issue. Here's how I fixed it.
1) Deactivate and DELETE v3.1.1 from server
2) Install and activate v.3.1.0 back to server
3) Make sure the function calls the correct path (../plugins/featured-content-gallery/gallery.php)
Hope this helps,
Justin

Le roi est mort (3.1.1). Vive le roi (3.1.0).

Same problem for me, I changed in the fcg /css/jd.gallery.css
to
Now the text slider box is in the right position (at the bottom) in IE6.
But what for ist this IE6- hack in the css initially? Will there come up new problems after changing the css?
- Code: Select all
* html .jdGallery .slideInfoZone
{
bottom: 100px;
}
to
- Code: Select all
* html .jdGallery .slideInfoZone
{
bottom: 0px;
}
Now the text slider box is in the right position (at the bottom) in IE6.

Good solution.

Thanks so much for the hint on this issue as well. IE6 readers ranked about 17% of my daily traffic and I found the mid scroll position a little annoying. Fixed now.
Fantastic plug-in. One of the handiest ones I've enabled on my biz blog in a long time.
