Featured Text Fade Speed

I would like to set the featured text box to fade in and out with the image starting at the same time and at the same rate.

I've poked around with the code and can't seem to get the speed of the transition to change in any way. I can change when it starts fading and stops fading, but not how fast it fades.

I'm willing to poke around with the code to get it changed. Any helps?

Yes, this alters the speed of the overall transition, too. I only want to change the speed of the featured text transition, primarily so it starts fading in with the image and fades out with the image.

I can see in the code there is some padding (500, I think is the default), but even if I remove the padding the speed doesn't match the speed of the image fade.

Hi 3dp did you find any solution to this? i too have looked through the files and altered several numbers with no effect at all!
