Featured Text Option Not Working

I installed the featured content gallery slider on my wordpress blog, http://www.lftfl.com/blog, and the slider works, more or less. I am attempting to use the featured text option but when I insert the desired text into the value field it shows up, sometimes as I desire, but 50% of the time its that text plus the post headline, which I do not want, anyone know how I can fix this?

post title will be always shown as title in slider, there is no ability to turn it off

1. Check settings to exclude fcg-YOU conflict
2. Try to turn off all your plugins at once to exclude fcg-other plugin conflict
3. Try default theme to exclude fcg-theme conflict
