Greetings!
First off: great plugin! I've been playing around with different configurations of it at the code level. However, I can't for the life of me figure out why it's hiding the first gallery image, and then displaying it just as the second one fades up into view.
Example:
==> http://www.mankato-homes.com
It fades/slides up after 9 seconds (I'll change it to 4 seconds to speed things up for you).
I've spent about 3 hours now trying to figure out what to add/subtract/multiply/divide to make that first item show up.
I've thusfar:
- moved from google-hosted to self-hosted jquery...no help
- updated the css files inside featured-content-gallery...no help
- written a simple custom javascript function to set the class element to visible...wasn't able to get it to work
I have a feeling I'm missing something simple here.
Any clues/ideas/snide remarks to help me on my way? Thanks in advance!

original version of fcg does not have this problem..probably your modifications made something that fcg works the way you described.
Sorry I do not offer help for modified versions, since I have no idea what you've done.
