IE8 - stopped working and need desperate help

PostBy computerkitten on Sat Jun 12, 2010 8:22 am

I have a live site that the featured content gallery stopped working in, IE8. But works fine in other browsers. Please see here at: http://tinyurl.com/22jjbfw. I can't figure out what is possibly conflicting with it and I've tried turning off numerous plugins to troubleshoot. Can someone PLEASE help me????

Thanks,

I see it is working in ie8, but the only thing is you need to have thumbs images provided through thumbnailimg custom field for each post

1. Check settings to exclude fcg-YOU conflict
2. Try to turn off all your plugins at once to exclude fcg-other plugin conflict
3. Try default theme to exclude fcg-theme conflict

Okay yes... sorry I ended up seeing there was some jquery and so I removed the Lightbox.
But why do I have to have the thumbnailing? Can you please explain? It seems to be working fine.

Thanks,

I don't know what you mean by opening up the carousel? I have a slideshow.. don't have thumbnails that should be along the top or bottom of it. I just want big picture slideshow and nothing else.

Can you please explain what you mean though?

Thanks,

you have button on top of the gallery with name Minoggie Kennels, which, when you click on it, opens the carousel with empty thumbs

Oh my word I didn't even know that... it wasn't obvious to click that (well for me anyways!). I see I have a couple of thumbnails. I will take a look and get that thumbnail link in there for all of them. I assume it creates the thumbnails on its own. How do I get it though to make it more obvious that they can click it and see the thumbnails??? What do most do?

Thanks for your help.

Ok the thumbnail is zoomed way in...it doesn't auto resize them proportionately?

no, it does not resize, but you can create thumbnails and put image url in thumbnailimg custom fields for each post in gallery
