in source code you provided, I see 2 gallery calls, remove them
put gallery call after
Code: Select all
<?php get_header(); ?>

1. Check settings to exclude fcg-YOU conflict
2. Try to turn off all your plugins at once to exclude fcg-other plugin conflict
3. Try default theme to exclude fcg-theme conflict
4. Post in this forum to involve me in your troubleshooting. URL is required

Ok. I removed the two pieces of code and placed just one below the <?php get_header(); ?> on the "Main index template".

All the other plugins are still disabled, except for the FCG.

I am still not seeing the Gallery on the home page.

I appreciate all the help you've given me. Any ideas why it is still not working?

Cheers, Dan

did you put it in index.php?

what page did you set up as index..Settings/Readingin you admin?..if you select this option "A static page (select below) " and have chosen something else..of course you will never see gallery since you added to index.php..

Yes, I put the FCG code in index.php file, in the source code, just below the <?php get_header(); ?>.

The index.php page is set as my static home page (set up through the settings menu).

Also on an unrelated note, for some reason I cannot access the html tab item in my edit pages/posts section. Any idea why?

the problem was..In Settings/Reading..first setting was set to "A static page (select below)"
which means, gallery call should be in
page.php if "Front page: " dropdown is selected
or
single.php if "Posts Page:" dropdown is selected

if in Settings/Reading option "Your latest posts " selected, code should be in index.php

for unrelated note question...I think this is because your index.php is broken
