I've installed and added code to theme i use Imprezz theme.I added two article and added them articleimg fields, checked everything but still not working just loading progress bar in black box

I am also having this problem. I have done every trouble shooting thing suggested here and none of it works.

The thing is, I previously had an older version of FCG installed and working on my homepage. However, we are hosting a lot of video and i had deactivated it due to a conflict with wordtube and switched to smooth slider. I am not really happy with the look of this new option though, and I read that new version of FCG does not conflict with this particular plugin so i am giving it another shot.

Right now I have it living on this page: http://www.yobeat.com/nothing/

Everything on my end is set correctly (and I am familiar with the plug in and have made it work before) I also have tested deactivating wordtube and smooth slider with no effect. So I turn to you guys, any one have any ideas why the gallery is not pulling in the specified posts?

I am not sure what causing the problem with fcg..since you do not have fcg on the site..but probably slider in the middle of the page

I have checked by deactivating it and Smooth Slider is not conflicting with FCG. I also thought that could be the problem, but even when smooth slider is not active, nothing is being pulled up in FCG.

Since my site is getting heavy traffic right now I would prefer not to have the non-working gallery on the frontpage while I figure it out. I have Exec php installed, so I put it in a private post so you can see, but is it possible that it isn't working because its on a post i suppose

yobeat try to disable all plugins, then change the theme to default,also do not use exec plugin to put the gallery call..it should be in the php code of the page

I went ahead and hired someone who knew what they were doing to fix this for me. Apparently the problem was a conflict between the jquery and mootools javascript files. While that means nothing to me, figured I'd pass it on in case it could help someone else. The FCG is now active at www.yobeat.com

In the case of a conflicting jQuery library, you can fix it like this:

• Make sure that jQuery is loaded as the first library in your theme
• Immediately after loading the jQuery library, and BEFORE loading any other libraries like MooTools or Scriptaculous, call:

  Code: Select all

  jQuery.noConflict();

  This gives the control of the $ variable back to whichever library first implemented it.
• The most easy way is to include the 'jQuery.noConflict();' call in the jQuery library itself, just add it as the last line in the library.

Hi there FCG Admin,

I got no response in another thread so I thought I would try again here... as it sounds related.

I have been having the same problem with FCGallery after upgrading to Wordpress 2.8.5.
I waited to upgrade to 2.8.5 thinking all the bugs had been worked out of the 2.8 release... I guess not.
It is showing a black box with "loading"... the strange thing is that the thumbnails show at the top if you click on them.
But no images will display.

I turned off all the other plug-ins... still same problem.

I am really in a pickle... and need your help.

try to deactivate all plugins especially lightbox plugin, then change the theme to figure out what plugin or your theme causing the conflict
