Known FCG Plugin Conflicts

New releases, ideas for the future, and known issues

I have a site built on the Thrilling Theme for Wordpress. The site is here: www.unfilteredlens.com

I want to put Featured Content Gallery at the top left to replace the current slider, since FCG is a full-screen picture that looks nicer.

Whenever I activate and set up FCG, in IE it shows the first picture, but the title/excerpt bar does not come up, nor does it rotate to the next picture. In Firefox, it's just a black screen.

I'm guessing this is the infamous JQuery conflict that everyone's been having. I can't find a plugin that is causing the problem. I think it might be something written into the theme itself - I dunno. I just can't seem to find any information on how to correct this conflict effectively.

1. Check settings to exclude fcg-YOU conflict
2. Try to turn off all your plugins at once to exclude fcg-other plugin conflict

Do featured pics have to be a certain size?

PostBy dennisknows on Mon Jul 19, 2010 2:13 pm

In my content slider, only some of the pics I have set are showing. I know exactly what I'm doing and I'm doing it the right way, but for some reason, 2 of my 6 pics aren't showing up. Im wondering if the pics have to be a certain size to show up in the FCG.

I just discovered a conflict FCG will not fetch image data when the My Calendar plugin is activated. FCG worked fine when we disabled My Calendar. The conflict is not only when they appear on the same page, but whenever the My Calendar is activated. Tried disabling javascipt effect with no success.

My Calendar does use javascript and jquery. I am not sufficiently skilled to troubleshoot. It would be wonderful if we could get FCG to work. The url on our non-profit site:

FCG has been working fine for a year but now doesn't show up in Safari. This seems to have occurred within the last week or so. Any hints or tips for troubleshooting it?

Thanks, Wes
