My website: http://lis.uncg.edu
I have posts in the "Headline" category on my website set to show up in the Featured Content Gallery on the front page of the website. I have the options set to show the latest 5 Headline posts. When a post gets bumped off, it is still featured on another page that calls in the Headline category posts (i.e. the Headlines archive).
The problem arises when I don't have enough new content but a Headline's deadline/usefulness has already passed. Right now, I have simply set these outdated Headlines to "Draft" status in order to remove them from the Featured Content Gallery (though this of course messes up the Headlines archival page).
So, my question is if there is a way that I can control it so posts could be removed from the Featured Content Gallery and still show up in the Headlines archives? Or do you know of a better way to get a post to show up in two places without having to check two categories when creating the post?
Thanks!
