Plugin/theme conflict

PostBy fcg on Sun Feb 07, 2010 7:05 pm

Hi,

I would like to use the featured content gallery with the handgloves wordpress theme.

http://handgloves.geenius.co.uk/release ... og-battle/

However, when I add the featured content gallery, the whole sidebar in the handgloves theme breaks.

The handgloves theme uses the simple twitter, flicker plugin. Also the posts section and the arvhives/catergories section underneath breaks as well.

I deactivated the twitter and flicker plugin, but it still breaks 9the posts/archives...etc.

Is there a way to resolve this? I'll ideally like all those plugins to work, but not too sure where to start or if its even possible.

Thanks!

i realised from reading around that fcg uses mootools and i have jquery scripts on my website.

I added the noconflict jqeury php code at the end of the header.php file in wordpress.

This fixed the sidebar and it works fine, however the fcg comes up only as a white background with black border. I know the images/files are correct because they were working before.

Any suggestions?

I do not see the gallery on your site, without it I can not troubleshoot

1. Check settings to exclude fcg-YOU conflict
2. Try to turn off all your plugins at once to exclude fcg-other plugin conflict
3. Try default theme to exclude fcg-theme conflict
4. Post in this forum to involve me in your troubleshooting. URL is required
