I've installed Shadowbox, and am trying to make it work with the FCG plugin. It works everywhere on the site EXCEPT within the FCG. Combing the Forum archives, I've found tons of issue where FCG doesn't work when Shadowbox is installed, but that's not my problem. FCG is working perfectly.
When the visitor clicks on the FCG slide, I'd like the link to open up in a shadowbox. To make this happen, I've tried two things:
1) I created a custom field called "link" and replaced:
<a href="<?php the_permalink() ?>" title="Read More" class="open"></a>
with a call to the custom field. The custom field contains the rel="shadowbox" designator.
The custom field call works perfectly, but when I click on the image, it just opens normally - not in the Shadowbox.
2) I also tried just adding the rel="shadowbox" to gallery.php, like so:
<a href="<?php the_permalink() ?>" title="Read More" class="open" rel="shadowbox"></a> but I get the same results. The code looks right, but the link just opens normally.
(Sidenote: I tried adding target="_blank" as well, and that gets ignored, too)
3) And I tried using the featured text - even there, when rel="shadowbox" is added, it just gets ignored (though target="_blank" works here.
Again, everywhere else on the site, Shadowbox works just fine.
You can see it here:

(click the "read more" link under the Align Your Flow article to see Shadowbox working)
Any ideas how I can get Shadowbox to work from within the gallery? Is it possible?

Did you make sure the automatic detect for images is off for shadowbox? If it's on it might not call it correctly. I know this might not help much, hope it does tho.
