TEXT OVERLAY ISSUES...?

PostBy meatgrinder on Tue Aug 24, 2010 12:44 pm

Hey all - I have been using the FCG for a long time, but I have recently run into a problem. I remodeled my website and when I changed the size of the FCG to 960x480 (larger than it was before) the text started messing up.

The text in the carousel (top area) is now being placed over the images instead of below them.

The text that slides up from the bottom only continues through the second line. It will respond if I change the wordcount to less that this length, but it will not go to line 3 for some reason.

Tried installing from scratch, same problems. As you can see I did some text size/style modifications, but nothing that interfered with this - the problem existed prior to my modifications.

Check out the website here: http://slavenation.com

Please help! Thanks in advance!!

Ok, well I found the carousel label and number sizing - the second css file threw me off. So the carousel is squared away, but the text wrap in the Text Overlay area is still a mess. I still only get two lines of text and I have no idea why...

PLZ HLP!

for text overlay, if fcg options settings specify "Number of words in text overlay" field with number, for example, 200, by default that number is 100

I've tried to change it via the FCG option for number of words, but regardless of the value it ends the text at the end of the second line.

in your theme style.css there is a style
Code: Select all
#homepagetop p {
   font-size: 13px;
   font-weight: normal;
   line-height: 18px;
   height: 38px;
   margin: 0px 0px 0px 0px;
   padding: 2px 0px 0px 0;
   overflow: hidden;
   }

which fcg somehow inherites, if you remove
Code: Select all
overflow: hidden;
, your whole text will be shown

#header #title a {

section it worked like a charm! Thanks so much for the help and support. You guys rock!@#
