tried everything and just cant get this thing to work

ok so I've been playing with this thing for 5 hours I've done everything in the tutorials, I'm useing edegree so it should be simple right. I have no other plugins active yet all I get is the borders please tell me you have an answer for me

1. Check settings to exclude fcg-YOU conflict
2. Try to turn off all your plugins at once to exclude fcg-other plugin conflict
3. Try default theme to exclude fcg-theme conflict
