this line of code you put in the home.php, your "main index template" ...check on this line, in this line should be featured-content-gallery instead of content-gallery

I have the latest version of WP 2.9.1 and the latest version of FCG 3.2.0. My WP theme is Aloha Pop69. All of this was recently installed. And it's all new to me

The content gallery wasn't really working to begin with; not displaying text. Not alternating images.

I tried troubleshooting and followed the instructions above and replaced this code:

<?php include (ABSPATH . '/wp-content/plugins/featured-content-gallery/gallery.php'); ?>

Now the FCG is only displaying the arrows and a loading bar, but nothing's loading. I'm tearing my hair out, especially since I ain't no PHP-er

I'm using Page IDs, don't want to use the content category. I have all my articleimg and featuredtext in my custom fields.

all colors you specify for background, text color should have # sign, for example 502713 should be #502713
then, check your first image url..the path is wrong

Hi Yelena, Thanks for correcting my silly mistakes! But as I suspected, the FCG is STILL not working. It improved a bit, but I'm back to where I started. The FCG is only displaying one image, no text, and the arrows won't bring me to any other images. I reinstalled the whole plugin too. I noticed on the wordpress page that more people say the combination of the newest versions of FCG and WP is broken than people who say it works! Dunno, I really want to include the FCG but am getting frustrated. Any further assistance is appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Please assist me with making this plugin work. I am probably going to kick myself when you show me the small mistake I must have made, but I have really tried everything.

Uninstall all other plugins - check (except Akismet)
image urls correct - check
try WP default theme - check, better but images still not loading.
image size same as feature gallery - check
"feature-" in the code - check

Don't know what else to check.
